The teddy vest with an iconic swan pattern, high collar, and cozy inner fleece. Made from 100% GRS-certified recycled polyester, it’s a pretty great piece of children’s clothing for the cooler months.

A Swan Ballet in Teddy

The swan has long been something of a small trademark for Konges Slojd. On the Jody Teddy Vest, it takes center stage: cream-colored swans glide across a muted blue-gray tone, packed closely together on fluffy teddy fabric. The whole look is reminiscent of vintage children's book illustrations and 70s ski wear, and most importantly, it looks really, really good.

A vest with an astonishing number of uses

Over a chunky knit sweater, with corduroy pants, over a classic white ruffled blouse, as a skillful style clash with heavy boots and cargo pants, and as an additional layer under a larger jacket: the Jody fits into a child's wardrobe as if it were second nature.

A teddy vest is particularly practical for the transition season because it keeps the torso warm while leaving the arms free. When climbing, cycling, in the woods, or at the playground, that makes much more sense than a thick jacket. The elastic hem keeps the vest comfortably against the body, while the high collar provides extra neck protection. The sturdy zipper is easy for small hands to operate. A detail that might sound less than spectacular in children's clothing, but is worth its weight in gold in real life.

Teddy on the outside, soft and smooth on the inside

On the outside is the signature teddy fleece; inside, there is a pillowy-soft, smooth fleece. This makes the vest feel comfortably cozy without every shirt worn underneath getting stuck to it.

The Jody is made from 100% GRS-certified polyester. The Global Recycled Standard not only focuses on the use of recycled fibers but also takes social and ecological criteria along the production chain into account. In addition, the vest is certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, Class 1.

My OrangeChérie Recommendation

The Jody is one of those pieces where function and aesthetics don’t have to argue with each other. It provides warmth, allows for freedom of movement, and adds a healthy dose of personality to any outfit.

I think it looks especially lovely with calm, natural tones, denim, cream, chocolate brown, or bordeaux. If you want to carry the swan theme a bit further, you can of course play with the matching Konges Sløjd patterns. Personally, I would prefer to combine it with deliberately simple basics. The little swarm of swans deserves to keep the starring role.
